Chapatis should be stored in the fridge (5 – 8°C), in a horizontal position. Care should be taken that nothing heavy is put on the pack as this may damage the chapatis. The ideal place to store this product is in the chiller tray (where we normally store milk).
CAUTION: Do not store the chapatis in the freezer. Since the temperature in a freezer is below zero, it will make the chapatis very hard.
The contents of this pouch are meant to retain the freshness of the chapatis. It is not edible and SHOULD NOT BE CONSUMED.
You can use only as many as you need at a time. Leave the remaining in the packet. Seal the packet using the zip lock and put it back in the fridge immediately.
This is perfectly normal and you can use these chapatis without any worry. Slight darkening is a natural process for a product such as this. However, if the product is extra dark, please bring it to the notice of the store from where you purchased it.
We recommend not to use the microwave for cooking these chapatis.
A non-stick pan/tawa is the best for these chapatis. However, you can use a conventional tawa with equally good results. Just ensure that it is thick enough so that the chapatis do not stick and burn. It is also important that the pan/tawa is heated enough before roasting the first chapati.
No. It is not required. However, if you prefer to have chapatis with ghee or oil, that is your choice. It will not affect the quality of the chapatis.
Yes, you can, although they are best when eaten as soon as they are
roasted - Pan to Plate! However, if you need to eat them later, keep them in a closed container. This will ensure that the chapatis remain soft.
Yes, provided you ensure that they are carried in an adequately insulated container (5 – 8°C) and transferred to the fridge as soon as you arrive at your destination. It is also important that you follow the ‘Use Before’ dates given on the pack.
